What is Parenting Support?
Parenting Support is a space where we focus on:
-
Helping support kids with big feelings
-
Reducing power struggles and reactive cycles
-
Navigating anxiety, meltdowns, or shutdowns
-
Building connection while holding boundaries
-
Supporting developmentally appropriate expectations
-
Strengthening your confidence as a parent
-
Getting on the same page with parenting values
Who is this for?
This is a good fit if:
-
You want practical insights over long-term therapy
-
Your child is struggling with emotional regulation
-
You feel stuck in repetitive conflict cycles
-
You’re second-guessing your responses
-
You want to parent in a way that aligns with your values, not just how you were raised or parenting self-help culture
This work is collaborative. The couple brings expert knowledge on their family, and I bring developmental knowledge, experience as a teacher, and family/child therapist.
How much does Parenting Support cost and how does it work?
-
Sessions are 50 minutes and $125/session.
-
The sessions are focused on clear challenges you're currently having with your kiddo(s) or issues that arise between the two of you as a parenting team.
-
Most families do best with weekly sessions for 4-6 weeks, then taper off to check-ins or sessions as needed, as things pop up.
Do you offer in-person or online sessions?
I see couples for Parenting Support in-person at my Carlsbad office at 2945 Harding St. and telehealth sessions over zoom for couples.
